LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

THE BASICS
All practices and games are held at X.

Practices are scheduled at the coaches discretion on a weeknight or weekend. In the shed there are scrimmage pinnies, first aid and other supplies needed. Due to legislation an AED machine lives in the shed for every practice and game, this is not to be removed unless necessary.

Games are held every Sunday afternoon – travel schedule will be posted. Coaches are responsible for putting out corner flags (first game puts them out and last game puts them away). A field lining scheduled will be provided, fields need to be lined each week – please ask if you need a quick lesson on the field liner.

Refs will be assigned for home games.

Area 3E Summary of AYSO Guidelines for Short-Sided Games

Download excel sheet with division specific tabs.

This will also be printed and placed in the Kirkland Life Church Shed for reference.

Rescheduling of practice or games

Use the practice sign up sheet to track fields, times, etc to avoid overlapping. We encourage you to set up scrimmages or joint practices.

Game cancellation – at the Coaches discretion unless the field is deemed unsafe by Paul/Sarah. Makeup games can be done during the weekday or weekend, given the field schedule allows

Thunderstorms – game is paused for 30 minutes; which essentially is cancelled
Travel teams – it is the home teams responsibility to make the call

Playground & 6U - any changes should be communicated to the 8U group, as you share a field. Otherwise good to go.

8U - should reach out to Playground & 6U. Definitely advise all other 8U coaches so we limit overlap. Practicing together is acceptable as long as both coaches agree. This is true for all divisions.

10U - Please copy [email protected] on all schedule changes!! John is the owner of the church and has many people/groups utilizing the property. Let’s respect his commitments and keep him in the loop. Also notify all other 10U coaches.

12U - notify other 12U coaches.

A few general rules.
-please copy Paul ([email protected]) on ALL reschedules.
-if you need to utilize the field of another division, that division should be included in the emails.
-when rescheduling games for 10U and 12U, please email or call Paul Hance [email protected].
